Cutlery case
Case for cutlery set (NMW A 51528-51530), wood carcase covered with pale grey shagreen or fish skin, tube form with keyhole-shaped profile and bulbous end section, this divided at an angle to form a cover hinged at the back, fastened by a metal catch and opening to reveal three fitted tube-like compartments for the knife, fork and spoon, the inside lined with paper and (in the top of the cover) a small piece of worn gold-coloured silk.
