Money balance case
Money balance case, iron-plate, flat oval form with hinged lid, the inside bottom of the case lined with woollen felt and the inside of the lid lined with cushioned silk, the case contains a brass money balance, the weights missing; the case covered with black japan with to the upper surface of the lid a tortoiseshell ground covered with a horn-coloured translucent japan and with a cracked finish.
