Square earthenware tile, dust pressed, pattern of raised diagonal bars on reverse, upper side painted in enamels with two figures, a shingler and cutter leaning down towards a furnace hearth- both figures dressed in blue and wearing protective visors, the right hand figure with large cutters, the left with a broad blade; a large wheel painted in sepia behind with a sepia figure.
