Prices and particulars of roofing tiles, ridges, and chimney pots made by G.W.Lewis’ Tileries, Stockingford, Nuneaton, dated June 1911. The price list is printed on cream paper with a light green cover. It is folded down the centre, with two staples on spine. The donor’s family were timber merchants in Taunton, Somerset. They supplied timber and slate to local builders and merchants, and as a result acquired a collection of slate price lists. The majority of the price lists (acquired over a number of years) are from Welsh slate quarries. This price list is an interesting comparison as it gives details of a slate substitute roofing material.
