Cup, soft-paste porcelain, inset base, bulbous body tapering inwards towards the base, ear-shaped loop handle; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to the front of the exterior body a classical scene representing 'Hercules and the hind of Cerynea', showing two nude male figures, one seated, one standing, and a hind, around the exterior upper body a classical border in black and gilt, gilt lines around the foot-rim and lip-rim, the handle picked out in gilt. Saucer, soft-paste porcelain, standing on a short cylindrical foot-rim, curving sides; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to the centre of the well a classical scene representing the legend of Actaeon and Diana, showing a female figure and a male figure attacked by two dogs, around the sides of the well a classical border in black and gilt, a gilt edge to the rim. The foot-rim slightly chipped.
