Cup and saucer
Cup and saucer, hard-paste porcelain, flattened cylindrical-shaped cup widening at the bottom, wishbone-shaped handle, circular saucer, footring; the rims are decorated with a border of gold flower heads and leaves against a dark blue ground, the centre of both pieces are banded with a wide gold border from which hangs gold bells and dots, the lower half of the cup and a section around the centre of the saucer are both painted with a small oval of a scene of two figures in courtship against a soft grey-green ground.
