Toby pepper box, earthenware, standing on a round pedestal, in the form of a small squat male figure wearing a tricorn hat, coat, waistcoat and breeches, and holding a jug and mug, the top of the hat perforated to form the lid of the pepper box, to the rear of the figure is a hole to let the pepper in; the figure painted with black hat, blue coat ornamented with touches of gilt, green waistcoat and orange breeches, a gilt line around the front of the base.
