Plate, hard-paste porcelain of a slightly greenish hue, inset base, curving sides and spreading concave rim; finely painted in polychrome enamels and gilt with to the centre of the well a 'partridge' pattern showing two partridges or quails standing under the shelter of a group of flowering plants and ears of wheat, around the rim a conventional floral border in a geometric arrangement.
