Sugar bowl
Earthenware sugar bowl and cover, Kestrel shape, globular form with a plain loop handle on either side, dome shaped cover, curved triangular knop. Light honey coloured glaze. Bowl loosely painted with a large abstract floral pattern in yellow, hair brown and black; flowers and foliage outlined in hair brown enamel - painted with three half flowers one on either side and one under handle, and three leaves; centre of flowers painted with a lattice pattern in black enamel; exterior of handles painted black, inner rim of bowl and the exterior of the cover banded yellow, knop enamelled in black but edges unpainted. Tiny chip on knop.
