Pot-lid
Pot-lid, earthenware, circular shape with cylindrical flange and convex top; the upperside of the lid decorated with an underglaze polychrome transfer-print of 'Charing Cross', showing an urban scene with a group of figures and horse-drawn carriages on a roadway before a very large building with a monument in front of it, around the bottom of the scene is printed the inscription "CHARING CROSS", the print enclosed by a narrow circular dotted border. The glaze crazed, narrow cracks to the flange.
