Rivet holding tongs
Long handled tongs with fine point, used by a 'handler' (who received rivets from a 'warmer') who put rivet into hole for 'holer up' to hold for 'riveter' to rivet. A 'warmer's' tongs had longer handles (about 6 inches longer) and thinner points. Rivets sometimes thrown but more often slid down tubes. Used in time of Henry John, about 1915-1950.
