Roman copper alloy Hod Hill brooch
Upper part of bow tapers slightly; it is ornamented with four longitudinal knurled ridges with three broad intervening flutings with traces of 'silvering'. Two transverse mouldings divide the upper part of the bow from the much narrower lower part which is plain and tapers to the foot. The catch-plate is solid.
