Plate, soft-paste porcelain, circular shape, standing on a straight-sided tapering foot-rim, curving sides and spreading rim, a scalloped edge to the rim; transfer-printed in underglaze blue with to the centre of the well the 'Travellers' pattern, a scene showing a male figure seated on a donkey smoking a pipe, to one side of the donkey stands a female figure carrying a baby on her back and a small child, to the other side of the donkey is a dog, border to the rim of a running stylized floral motif and a dentilled ribbon band.
