Jug, or mug, pale grey stoneware, standing on a shallow foot with rounded foot rim; bulbous body; pronounced cordon at junction of neck and body; elongated cylindrical neck, incised below lip rim; strap handle; the exterior covered with an iron-brown wash, and a light clear salt-glaze giving a freckled appearance; extensive plaster restoration to body and foot.
