Nantgarw China Works (1813 - 1822)
Plate of soft-paste porcelain with creamy translucency; standing on a tapering foot rim, with cushion-moulded and curved spreading sides; lobed lip, with six large and six small lobes alternating; the rim decorated with an elaborate gilt border of ovals, anthemions, swags and pendent flowers (tulips); the well enamelled with a vignette view of Llandaff Cathedral.
