Sauce-boat
Sauce-boat, soft-paste porcelain, yellow-green translucency, thick blue-tinged glaze, bubbling in several areas; silver shape, swelling oval body with broad lip and waved rim, ear-shaped ribbed handle with moulded thumbpiece, three lion mask and paw feet; blurred underglaze painted decoration in a bright royal blue comprising a Chinese river landscape of a willow, house, rocks, trees, birds and an island on each side, a border of lozenges enclosing quatrefoils and seven reserved panels of leaf sprays on the interior of the rim, and a double scroll from the 'eight precious objects' on the inside.
