Cup, hard-paste porcelain, rounded foot-rim, cylindrical sides flaring outwards at the lip-rim, high snake handle; covered all over with a gilt ground apart from the interior bottom of the cup, against this is reserved to the front of the exterior body an oval panel finely painted in polychome enamels with the head and shoulders of a female figure wearing a wreath of flowers in her flowing hair and a loose white robe, around the upper and lower exterior body stylized floral borders. The lip-rim chipped. Saucer, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a short slightly flaring cylindrical foot-rim, curving flaring sides; the upper side of the saucer covered with a gilt ground, this then decorated with around the sides of the well a very faint stylized floral border, to the centre of the well a very worn wheel-like design which can just be made out, a gilt band around the foot-rim. One side of the foot-rim broken and repaired.
