Rugby jersey
Cardiff Lions RFC jersey, position 23. International Gay Rugby logo on sleeve.
Short-sleeved rugby top in red, black and gold jersey knit Polyester fabric. Upper half of shirt is red and lower half fades into black (both front and back). Sleeves are red with gold cuffs; at the front, they also have a design of 3 curved stripes fading from black into gold. On the right sleeve is the logo for IGR (International Gay Rugby), an umbrella organisation of which Cardiff Lions are a member club. The logo features a stylised Rugby ball in wavy shades of blue above the words IGR INTERNATIONAL GAY RUGBY. Torso section of shirt is constructed of 4 panels: a narrow front and back panel and wide side panels, resulting in 2 seams down the front and 2 vertical seams at the back.
Front of shirt: logo of Mary's (a gay cabaret bar in Cardiff) printed over a large shadow image of Lion's head (club logo). Small lion's head in black and gold printed on left chest, manufacturer's logo 'SRG ELITE' printed in white and black on right chest. Large number '23' in gold on back. Above the number, there's a sponsor's logo (red with green detailing on white ground) and below the number is the inscription: '#IAMELITE'. White herringbone twill tape with woven inscription of '#IAmElite' in black, stitched to rear of inner neck. Self-adhesive label with manufacturer's details and size at inner neck (black and yellow print). Care label at proper left rear seam. Black elastic tape stitched to inner waist: this tape has a rubberised surface coating (in the shape of 2 wavy lines) which provide a more secure fit and stop the hem from slipping.
