Inkpot and cover, soft-paste 'duck egg'porcelain, thickly potted but with slight green translucency, clear glaze with green tinge, the base unglazed; in the form of a fluted shell, with recessed flat top, domed shell-shaped cover with small shell finial and shell pen holder; the exterior decorated with an underglaze ground, the concave flutes and the finial, penholder etc. gilded, and cailloute gilding to the top.
