Medieval pottery jar
Jar in grey fabric with orange and grey surface; beaded rims are a frequent occurrence at Penmaen (? 1st half of 12th C); see also M5 Motorway, 2nd Report, Fig 5, 2 (11th -13th C).
Unglazed Pottery from Upper Levels: The great majority of the pottery from upper levels bears a close resemblance to that from the post pits, etc. A number are illustrated here, partly to illustrate this point, partly to show vessels which are more complete than those illustrated above, and partly to show types not illustrated or poorly represented above.
