Beneath, under a pointed carved archway, a bishop or abbot, mitred, in prayer, between masonry bearing two shields: dext. the initials T.P. (for Thomas Parker, dean, 1525-38) ; sin. on a fess between three pheons, a stag's head cabossed between two roundels, PARKER; cabled borders.
