Roman pottery jug
Jug neck and handle only. Orange-red with traces of dark red slip on rim, yellowish below handle. Incorporates a divider in order to separate the neck into two halves. Its purpose was to control the flow of liquid from the vessel by providing free access for the replacing air. Late 1st - early 2nd century AD.
