Teapot
Dillwyn & Co., Cambrian Pottery (1811 - 1817 and 1824 - 1850)
Teapot and cover, moulded, foot ring, long low form, upper half of body slightly lobed, high angular handle, broad curved spout with flat top, domed cover also lobed, steam hole, pronounced flowerhead finial. Body and cover decorated in a light underglaze blue with a continuous transfer pattern of variously patterned diamonds with a border of pendant trefoils alternating with pendant diamonds - the border below the band on body and inside band on rim. Lower half of body undecorated; medallion on outer lower side of spout of diamond in oval with a border of trefoils; one scale on upper side of spout; diamonds along back of handle; further simplified decoration on finial.
