Starboard broadside view of S.S. GENERTON, and M.V. SCORTON at Cardiff Docks.

Built 1936 by Short Brothers Ltd., Sunderland, for Carlton Steamship Co Ltd (R. Chapman & Son, Newcastle). 1955 – Sold to Paulins Rederi Ab. Modesta, Finland (Frank Skibdahl, Turku, Kanavaniemi), and renamed IMATRA. 1960 – Sold to Wallem & Co., Hong Kong, and renamed CAPELLA. 1966 – Sold to Teh Hu Steamship Co., Hong Kong, and renamed BUCENTAUR. 1968 – Sold to "Cia Nav Pearl", Panama, and renamed BANGKOK TRADER. On 1st October 1968, while while en route from Bangkok to Osaka, she sprang a leak and was abandoned off the coast of China. She was salvaged and towed to Taiwan where she arrived on 4th October. While there, she was further damaged by fire, and was broken up at Kaohsiung in mid-1969.
