Teapot and cover
Teapot, hard-paste porcelain, inset base, cylindrical sides, sloping inwards at the shoulder to a short raised lip-rim, curving spout, scrolled loop handle with a slightly raised thumb-spur, round flat cover with to the centre a pinecone finial, a pierced steam hole to one side; painted in polychrome enamels with around the exterior sides of the teapot and the top of the cover a spotted decoration of pansies and leaf sprigs in green and gilt, around the shoulder of the teapot and the top of the cover a border of foliate festoons in gilt, a gilt line around the foot-rim of the teapot, a gilt dentil edge to the lip-rim of the teapot and the rim of the cover, the spout, handle and finial picked out in gilt.
