Roman copper alloy penannular brooch
Ring of circular cross-section. The terminals are folded back; one terminal has a clench mark in the centre and a transverse indented line to either side, the other has a slighter clench mark near its free end. This terminal has a transverse indented line near the free edge and two close to the fold. The flat ribbon end of the pin is decorated with three vertical incised lines with two horizontal incised lines below them. Fowler group D1.
Squeezed out of shape so that its ends overlap each other and most of the pin is lost.
