Patchwork quilt
Patchwork quilt made by Benjamin Jones (weaver), or a member of his family, from offcuts from Ogof Mill, Drefach-Felindre.
Geometric patchwork (mainly red, black and grey) quilt. Hand-stitched with running stitches using brown and black thread. Edges are machine stitched. Uniform black/blue lining: constructed from four lengths of fabric which are machine-stitched together. Weave: tabby using only black singles yarn in one weave-direction and alternating black and blue singles yarns in the other weave direction.
