Pot-lid
Pot-lid, earthenware, circular shape with cylindrical flange and convex top; the upperside of the lid decorated with an underglaze polychrome transfer-print of 'The Skewbald Horse' (although this title is not recorded on the lid), showing a rural landscape with seated and standing figures, two horses and a dog in the foreground, a haystack to one side, around the bottom of the scene is the inscription "P. WOUVERMANN PINX", the print enclosed by a narrow circular fancy border. The glaze crazed.
