Under a trefoiled canopy, the Blessed Virgin seated supporting her Child; above is Christ in glory, His pierced hands outstretched . In lateral niches, dext. St. John the Baptist holding the Agnus Dei; sin. St. John the Evangelist with ? palm branch. In base, under a round headed arch, the abbot in prayer, between two shields: dext. three cinquefoils, two and one (for the BARDOLF family, principal benefactors) ; sin. a star of sixteen points, HAY ( for Ralph de Haya, founder).
