Figure of Will Watch, white earthenware, crackled glaze, squared oval plinth inscribed in gilt script. Seated on a grassy bank, colourfully dressed in early/mid seventeenth century dress, of black boots with orange turnover tops, maroon hose, yellow breeches patterned with green tear drops, red blue and white striped sash around waist and tied in a large bow on right, white open necked frilly shirt, underglaze blue coat outlined in gilt and with broad turn back cuffs, naturalistically painted face, brown moustache, long brown hair, white hat with red and yellow feather, in an animated pose sitting with legs apart looking right, holding pistols in both hands, the left hand over a brown barrel banded with white, blue and grey. Both pistols damaged.
