Evans, Anthony (Artist a darlunydd (ganed 1948). Yn wreiddiol o Cross Hands, mae'n byw a gweithio yng Nghaerdydd ble roedd ymhlith sefydlwyr cwmni Arlunwyr yr Hen Lyfrgell ac Oriel Canfas yn Nghreganna. Ar ôl mynychu Coleg y Drindod Caerfyrddin, bu'n gweithio fel athro celf am nifer o flynyddoedd, cyn sefydlu ei hun fel artist llawn amser ym 1990 / Artist and illustrator (born 1948). Originally from Cross Hands, he lives and works in Cardiff where he co-established the Old Library Artists and Oriel Canfas in Canton. After attending Trinity College Carmarthen, he worked for several years as a teacher before becoming a full-time artist in 1990.)
'Aberfan' by Anthony Evans, 1966. Coloured inks on paper. The work was completed in the immediate aftermath of the Aberfan disaster. The artist was in his late teens at the time, living in the coal community of Cross Hands. His father was a mineworker in nearby Tumble.
