Pot, coffee and cover
Coffee pot, hard-paste porcelain, spreading foot-rim, cylindrical sides, spreading flaring neck, curving spout with the lip modelled in the form of an animal head, high loop handle, round flat cover with to the centre a bud-shaped finial and a pierced steam hole to one side; the exterior body of the coffee pot and the top of the cover covered with a deep blue ground, this then decorated with around the upper body of the coffee pot an elaborate gilt border and around the centre of the cover a gilt leaf border, the foot-rim, neck, lip-rim, spout and handle of the coffee pot and the finial on the cover painted gilt, a gilt band around the rim of the cover. The underside of the cover chipped.
