Roman iron stylus
Small object or part object comprising a wedge-shaped terminal with corroded shaft fragment, now hollow. Further fragments of the solid shaft appear to be sheathed in copper alloy. The object is probably the remains of a stylus of which only the sptulate end survives with a short length of sheathed body. Manning's Type 4 (1985a, pl. 26, N25) is similar but not identical.
