Medieval copper alloy buttons
Half of a round button made from a sheet of copper alloy. It has an inserted loop.
It compares with composite sheeting buttons which are two hemispheres soldered together to make a rounded button. (See Egan and Pritchard, Dress Accessories from London, p.277)
