Medieval pottery jug
Fragment of a jug in hard sandy pink/light orange fabric with a green-brown glaze. The wall of the vessel has been lightly grooved, after which applied strips have been laid prior to glazing. The application of strips upon a grooved surface is a feature of the Ham Green kilns of Bristol. This example may be from this source.
