Saint Sebastian
Standing torso form, unglazed buff stoneware, enclosed flat base with texture picked up from fabric weave, undulating surface rising to the shoulders indicating the contours of the upper legs, torso, base of the neck and possibly the arms held in at the sides, a loincloth indicated by an area of diagonal parallel lines at the front and horizontal parallel lines running from here round to the back but not joining, impressed dots marking the nipples and navel, a deep vertical line incised down the back, an airhole at the top centre.
