Decoration
Small souvenir decoration from Chile. Small hat adhered to white cord arranged in a circle with a suspension loop.
A ring of three widths of white rope, the ends of which are held together at top centre with white self-adhesive tape At the bottom centre the three ropes are bound together with red, white and blue ribbon. The white adhesive tape is covered up by a hat which has a brown crown and a green leather (?) brim (the underside of the brim is made from card). The hat has a white hat band of soft plastic material. The edge of the brim is bound with red, white and blue braid. A small length of the red, white and blue ribbon has been adhered underneath the lower edge of the brim. A small loop of white material has been adhered to the reverse of the hat for hanging up the souvenir. There are brown, grey, white and metallic residues in two areas on the PR of the ring, which suggest that the souvenir would have had additional decorative element(s). The word 'CHILE' is written on the crown of the hat with black biro.
