Cup, earthenware, standing on a rounded waisted foot-rim, bell-shaped bowl with flaring everted lip-rim, a raised ridge around the middle of the exterior body, ogee handle; transfer-printed in black with to the exterior sides of the body a fishing scene showing a figure fishing in a river on which two figures sail in a boat against a background of buildings, trees and distant hills, and a rural scene showing a figure on horseback crossing a bridge over a river in which cattle are paddling, buildings, trees and distant mountains in the background, a small fishing scene to the interior bottom of the bowl, a black band around the interior sides of the body and a black band to the interior lip-rim, a chevron pattern to the handle.
