Womens' Suffrage. Girl Friday 'Exposed': Teri O'Meara yesterday advertised her ire about a Towson office-employment agency's promotional calendar
Wirephoto published in the Tribune newspaper in 1973. Purchased by David Hurn from MMG Photo Archives.
Full title: Girl Friday 'Exposed': Teri O'Meara yesterday advertised her ire about a Towson office-employment agency's promotional calendar by wearing the calendar on a picket line. The 21-year-old Miss O'Meara, who attends Morgan State College and works as a psychiatric aide at Sheppard-Pratt Hospital, said the calendar ''gives the impression that she is there for more than clerical work. All the essentials are gone, like head and clothes.'' The calendar pad lifts to expose details- on Girl Friday's services. For most of the day, Miss O'Meara, a group of other women and a few men paraded outside the Rogers Building.
The photograph is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the librarian of the Baltimore Sun Archives Paul M McCardell.
