Early Medieval human remains
An incomplete inhumation of an adult probable male aged 45+ years (probably extended, supine) oriented west-east. The grave was cut by SK977 from the torso down and displaced bones were laid alongside SK977.
Elements present: crania, clavicle, vertebrae (pathology: some osteoarthritis on vertebrae - spinal osteophytosis), L and R scapula, maxilla, mandible, loose teeth, ribs, L and R heads of humerus, L? humerus shaft, ?R distal radius fragment, few distal phalanges, various refitting long bone fragments, miscellaneous unidentified fragments.
Animal bone was found in the grave. Microfauna bones were identified during repackaging and bagged separately.
