Plate, soft-paste 'duck egg' porcelain; standing on a straight sided foot rim curving into flared spreading sides; painted in the centre with a Classical scene of Ariadne on the shores of Naxos with a tearful cherub and an angel pointing towards a ship in the distance; elaborate gilt border of alternating dotted and trellis patterns edged with c-scrolls issuing various gilt leaf and flower sprays gilt dentil lip.
