Jug and cover
Jug, hard-paste porcelain, pear-shaped body with high foot, plain beak spout, elaborate scrolled handle, high domed cover the finial of which has broken off; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to the body and cover a criss-cross pattern of floral festoons tied by purple ribbons and with two European birds perched amongst them, gilt lines around the foot-rim and neck of the jug and the rim of the cover, the spout and handle picked out in puce and gilt.
