Iron Age iron involuted brooch
Long involuted brooch of Stead's group D (Stead, 1991), or Hull & Hawkes group 2Ca (Hull & Hawkes, 1987). Slightly incuving bow with foot expanding to a disc shape and joining the bow at a rounded collar. The mock spring would have been secured with a cylinder rivet although the outer plates and the pin are now missing.
