Dish, greyish speckled hard-paste porcelain, lozenge form with straight-sided foot-rim and curving sides, a shaped edge to the rim, the interior of the dish covered with an all-over moulded scale pattern; the interior of the dish covered with a yellowish ground, this then painted in polychrome enamels with to the centre of the well a spray of garden flowers and around the sides of the well four floral sprigs, a chocolate edge to the rim.
