Jug, earthenware, standing on a rounded slightly spreading foot-rim, globular body sloping inwards at the shoulder to a cylindrical neck, plain beak spout, angular scrolled handle; covered all over with a yellow glaze, this then transfer-printed in red with to the front of the exterior body the inscription "My heart is fixed...etc", enclosed with in a rectantangular foliate border, to one side of the exterior body a creature with seven crowned heads from one of which issues the word "Blasphemy", below this creature is the inscription "BUONAPARTE / The Monstrous Beast!...etc", with the further numeric inscriptions to either side, to the other side of the body the inscription "To my best my friends are free...etc" enclosed within a wreath of foliage, border to the neck of a wreath of stylized foliage painted in red enamel, red enamel bands around the foot-rim, shoulder, and exterior neck and spout, red stylized leaves and dashes to the handle.
