Sampler
Linen, embroidered with a basket of flowers between two vases of flowers. Below there is a landscape consisting of a house and trees within a garden, a lake containing an island on which is a castle amidst trees. On the lake there is a boat rowed by two men. The sky is tinted with blue paint. At the bottom is the maker’s name and date. There is a border of a wavy stem with conventional tulips.
