Two Reclining Figures
Henry Moore was one of the most important 20th century sculptors. The reclining figure was a recurrent theme throughout his work. In the drawing of Two Reclining Figures he has used a dark ground and pale washes to throw the figures into relief. Their three-dimensional quality is enhanced by the use of interlocking, stepped lines crisscrossing the forms.
