Jug, earthenware, ovoid form with rounded slightly spreading foot-rim, bulbous sides, raised neck, beak spout, scrolled and foliate moulded loop handle with raised thumb-spur, the exterior sides moulded with curving vertical flutes against which are reserved to either side of the body an oval panel moulded with a human face, one of which wears a cap, raised foliate moulding around the shoulder, the exterior neck moulded with raised semi-circular motifs, foliate motifs and swags of star-shaped flower heads, foliate moulding to the underside of the spout; the vertical flutes picked out with stripes of silver lustre with a decoration of stylized leaves in red enamel in between, the moulded faces painted in naturalistic enamels with below one the inscription "CREDITOR" in red, and below the other the inscription "DEBTOR" in red, the moulding to the shoulder, neck and spout picked out in silver lustre and red enamel, the handle edged in silver lustre, a silver lustre band around the interior and exterior lip-rim and spout.
