Roman copper alloy handle
Copper alloy handle of an iron knife. The handle terminates in a ring, smooth internally but with six outer facets. Part of the iron blade remains. The 'graining of copper alloy between the ring and the blade suggests that this section of the handle may originally have been encased in wood.
