Seal impression: Chancery of Cardiff
A shield : quarterly, CLARE and DESPENSER (as W313), impaling : quarterly, 1. and 4. three fusils in fess, a label of as many points, MONTACUTE; 2. and 3. an eagle dispalyed, MONTHERMER; supporters; perhaps two rampant and chained bears (the head of one wanting); crests (defaced) perhaps: 1. out ofa ducal coronet, a swan's head and neck, BEAUCHAMP; 2. out of a coronet, a griffin statant, MONTACUTE.
